Who Are We?
We are a Southern Baptist Church who is affiliated with the Mobile Baptist Association and the Alabama Baptist State Convention. We have adopted as our general statement of faith "The Baptist Faith and Message" as revised by the Southern Baptist Convention at the 2000 convention.
Why Do We Exist?
Our church exist for the purpose of "leading people to become fully devoted followers of Christ." We do this by encouraging people to make a series of commitments to membership, maturity, ministry, and multiplication. Our ministry is built around the five purposes of the church: Worship, Evangelism, Fellowship, Spiritual Maturity, and Ministry.
Our Style of Worship:
In our morning worship service, we use a blend of traditional hymns and contemporay songs. In our evening worship service we sing traditional hymns. The sermons are expositiory in nature and relavant to our daily lives. The pastor preaches from the New International Version (Translation) of the Bible.
Directions To The Church:
From Airport Blvd., turn onto Dawes Road and travel south for seven miles until you reach the intersection of Dawes Road and Dawes Lane (4-Way Stop). The church will be on your left.
From Three Notch Road, go to Dawes Lane. Turn north onto Dawes Lane and go to the intersection of Dawes Road and Dawes Lane (4-Way Stop). The church will be on your right.
How To Have A Personal Relationship With God
A - Admit you are a sinner and that you will never be good enough to satisfy God's standard (perfection) for getting into heaven and repent (do an about face, heading in the opposite direction) of your sin. (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; 2 Corinthians 7:10)
B - Believe that Jesus' death on the cross is all that is necessary to take away your sin and make you appear perfect before God. (Romans 5:6-10) Believe that if you accept Jesus' death as the payment for your sin your sin will be completely forgiven. (John 3:16)
C - Commit your life to Jesus by asking Him to forgive your sin and give you His free gift of eternal life. (Romans 10:9-13)
YOU can have God's free gift of eternal life if you sincerely pray the following prayer: "Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and that I am not good enough to get into your heaven when I die. Jesus, I am asking you to forgive me of my sin so I can appear perfect before God and go to heaven when I die. Jesus, please come into my life, take away my sin, and be my Savior and Lord, so I can have your free gift of eternal life. A-men."
